With two young boys Emma's life is action packed. Emma is working on workshops to help children and adults become "Sure on Stage", as well as singing with Dizzy's Big Band on Wednesdays and planning the release of Dance in the Light. When faced with the question of why singing remains so important, Emma confesses that the music chose her.
I am always excited and invigorated by the
variety of ways a jazz tune can be interpreted. An engaging song, something
touching in the lyric and melody lines, leads us to dive in and recreate.
Whenever the band gets together, it’s like carving a path upstream, full of moments of
suspense, fun and beauty. No matter where I go, or whatever success I have elsewhere, music is the core of me.
